Dan Rosa is a gifted artist with decades of experience. His specialties are drawing/illustration and his styles range from cartooning and playful caricature to comics and character design to portraiture to commercial art to realism. (Danrosaart.com) He creates both traditional and digital designs.
Dan offers art lessons to children, adolescents, and adults either at the Annandale, Hunterdon County location, or virtually. He is highly skilled at teaching concepts, creative thinking/problem solving, & techniques while guiding students to express their creative and artistic visions in a way that is individualized and enjoyable. Dan believes each student has their innate strengths and unique learning style and his creative, out-of- the- box, supportive, positive, and interactive teaching style makes learning fun. Dan's "meet them where they are at" approach helps students feel challenged, not overwhelmed, and students have reported feeling inspired, more confident, and excited to create after working with Dan.
Lessons are inclusive! Dan is highly skilled at working with individuals who are differently-abled, non-verbal, and or who have unique challenges related to developmental disabilities. His sessions are tailored to the individual’s interests and abilities and Dan crafts each session to ensure the individual has a successful experience that boosts their sense of connectedness, self-efficacy, and overall sense of wellness. While the sessions are centered on art-making, the relationship building aspect is a powerful part of what makes time with Dan so special. He takes time to get to know who the person is, what makes them feel safe, what their special interests are, and how he can best support & inspire them. Individuals leave with a sense of being seen, respected, and valued, along with a piece of art that they can be proud of. For adults enrolled with NJ DDD, these sessions are eligible for payments through Acumen or EasterSeals under “goods and services.”
Dan also offers interactive art events for birthday parties, various groups (scouts, schools, libraries, community events, corporate team building, etc.) and more. These sessions are highly engaging, spontaneous, energetic, creative, and so much fun. No experience or
artistic skills are necessary. Please email or call for more information and availability.
